Oh they realize exactly what is coming. They are experiencing it right now. Nothing wrong with having two crowds... One chanting for better working conditions and pay for drivers and the other one waving signs saying 'no way should we have to pay those bums 4 bucks a ####### mile'.

Lol, right-
...And I'll be the one with the sign that says "CSA NEEDS A REFORM NOW"
"ACCOUNT FOR SAFETY IN CARRIER SAFETY ACCOUNTABILTY" -
Trifecta

Protesting against ELDs instead of HOS reform sounds a lot like protesting against drug dogs instead of drug laws. Of course, even if they change it to a 16 hour driving day, people will still cry that they can't run for more.

I just want a system where every 3 months that goes by without a moving violation cvsa will remove 33% of the CSA points or 7 points, whichever is greater.
Carrier safety accountability, lets account for safety too, not just equipment violations
This will give folks time to redeem themselves for being being the product of what all this regulation is about in the first place. This wil also help those who are victims of petty extortion. This will help small carriers with their federal safety score and insurance prices.
For CSA to truly work, its needs to account for safety not just violation: account for safe driving in a way that rewards and or redeems previous mistakes in a timely fashionLast edited: Oct 6, 2017

I wonder how many of you would love to have those insurance boxes on your truck to determine what kind of driver you are. I kind of feel like the way we do it now unfairly rewards mediocre drivers with tenure and punishes really good drivers with 1-2 years of experience.
I mean currently the only solid way to tell how safe a driver is is how many miles it's been since he had an accident. Seems to me that method of determining safety has a ton of variance baked right into it.HopeOverMope Thanks this. -
I think a lot of expierenced drivers object to ELDs for reasons other then running way over normal daily miles.
I really hate being late for a delivery and don't look forward to calling receivers to explain how my ELD won't let me be on time . There are numerous things that can happen ,out of a drivers control to delay him and no flexibility in the ELD seems like a bad idea for everyone .
If they built in some flexibility into the system so were not worried about taking a run that should be doable only to find delays force a late delivery .
