The "media" has been doing this for a very long time. Censorship was all fine and dandy when it was what most people agreed on as far as subject matter went. Now, those same people are getting a taste of their own medicine. One cannot pick and choose which rights are tweakable/infrangible. It's all or nothing! People are finally starting to see it now.

I appreciate those guys who were button down shirts and starched jeans and boots. They usually have the clean trucks too. I just can't dress like that practically since our trucks and trailers are in gravel and I am constantly airing up tires and adjusting brakes and getting greasy. It would be nice, but I still wear carhartts and Ariat steel toe boots, never wear my Bluetooth inside, and am courteous at all my customers and try to be considerate out here. I learned that from my dad, who still trucks after 40 years as an owner op.Vsix, JimmyWells and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

Considering buying a Conestoga trailer, get dirty myself but I still wear work clothes. Blue jeans, hi-vis Tshirt and steel toes which is mandatory here at the plant. Guard shack door even has a sign... NO shorts!shogun and JimmyWells Thank this.

I was wearing shorts in the summer one time because the 379 I was in didn't have a/c. I was hauling liquid asphalt which is basically 350 degree glue, and it would form thin strands in the wind when it leaked from the coupler hose. Well, I found out it took hair with it when I peeled it off my skin, and I haven't worn shorts since. Like the time I was hauling cows and got my tennis shoes stepped on, it's been steel toe cowboy boots ever since.
OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
To the ones that DID stand behind the protest THANK YOU!
The haters and E-Huggers can just keep on liking that box on the dash...If it works for you then fine!
That does not give you the right to try and force it down on everyone......Sheeple!
Most drivers can't grow a set these days and stand up for what they believe in....SMDH!Vsix, BoostedTeg, fordconvert and 7 others Thank this. -

Is this not the definition of" if you're not with us your against us?!" If you don't have my point of view then you're wrong?! I must be a sheeple because the company I drive for hauling cars has elogs.. I'm glad you stand up for what YOU believe in but don't call the rest of us names because something works for us. They don't bother me because I load when I want and unload when I want..sorry that you have to deal with a-hole shippers and receivers but how do you expect anyone to take you seriously when in 2 different posts you call people names that don't agree with you...kind of makes you sound like a liberal nutjob that immediately goes to name calling when someone doesn't agree. Just my opinion...I could be wrong..#1don, dngrous_dime and mudflap77 Thank this.

That's the problem right there^
Your "if it doesn't bother ME then it's not a problem" attitude is why we are in this mess in the first place. Will you feel the same way when you're required to be under a certain BMI to drive? How about when you have to have a driver facing camera on your dash? When will YOU draw the line? That last one was rhetorical btw. I know those like yourself never will draw a line when you can't even draw a logical conclusion.Vsix, BoostedTeg, fordconvert and 3 others Thank this. -
I haven't moved my truck all week.

Once rights and liberties are taken away good luck getting them back , being a new member on this board it's discouraging to see so many from our industry pushing back on this protest .
Even though no media will cover the protest I hope against reason that the gov regulators in bed with the ata and dispictable trial lawyers will hesitate to implement the next phase of their plan.
If that's all that's accomplish it will be some victoryVsix, BoostedTeg, Cybercat and 3 others Thank this.
