Hello Dan, Should be an interesting ride! My parents met at CU in Boulder,my sister was born there I was born in Co Springs left the state
when i graduated HS. I was a heavy duty parts man for 20 yrs and decided I needed to do something else, went to a driving school in southern VA and am in my last two weeks of training with a flatbed co out of Mississippi, I currently don't have a residence, will be living on the road for a while but am working my way back to CO. I've been around the industry many years but wanted a different perspective, a new experience, If i can be of any help feel free! Wish you luck!! Good Info here on this forum! and Welcome!

Hey Dan. I worked out of the Denver Swift terminal, while I lived in Aurora. I am no longer driving, and am currently working in a motel. I found out I was up for a divorce while driving otr grossing a little over 78,000 with a load of copper, on a narrow two lane hwy in the texas pandhandle.
Driving has it's ups and it's downs. If your married, I think it's rougher, unless you met while you where otr, and are used to being apart.

Would be my pleasure, but it might be a while as the company currently working for does'nt run company drivers there only OO's, after I get my
my 1 or 2 yrs experience, then I will be able to put my roots back down
there! My Mom is in the Springs, if I'm able to take some time off and visit
her this summer I'll let you know.

It takes less time than that to learn how to drive a Big truck.
Are you sure you don't want to reconsider? I hear there's a shortage of Big truck truck drivers.
