So I did some quick googling. I know Ontario allows an unloaded rifle or shotgun in a vehicle. Appears NYS does also....no permit required. Why not just have a shotgun in the truck and not have to deal with all the state permit laws?

So the vest doesn't need a battery to stop a bullet?

Black powder blunderbuss. You can hit everything with one shot and just be close.

I'm thinking buckshot in a 12 ga might do the trick. Most of this crap happens at close range and no point in hurting anyone down range

We have the Castle Doctrine here in the Mountain State. I don't think taking it across state lines is justified though lol. Also firing a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling is against the law. Now within our State borders, you have the right to defend your life as long as you are anywhere you have a legal right to be with a firearm. Now if the sign says No Guns but you conceal and go anyway, you no longer have a legal right. And shooting someone in the back? Well I'm pretty sure your in trouble then!! Unless you can prove he was getting a larger equalizer?

Firing warning shots is careless/negligent. In my opinion, I see two options here...

    1) Confront the thieves but be ready to shoot if your life is in danger.

    2) You don't want to confront? call the police.

Really depends, I don't know if my cargo is worth the risk of jumping into it with multiple possibly armed bad guys.
But there is a good chance they will scatter like ####roaches just seeing you, gun or not.

He's an idiot and it shows why we shouldn't carry in trucks. If he was responsible, he would have called the cops and then stayed put.

You guys know that there is a gang down there that is called MS13?

Also the number one rule is if you pull it, you use it and not for warning shots.
