Anyone have any experience with Gel, Water filled or foam seat pads/cushions? I have been experiencing occasional bouts of Prostatitis and I believe the pounding from my seat is contributing to this. Any brands or type of seat pad to look at or stay away from?

if anything go with foam...you don't want water/gel, it will rupture, and it will be a mess

These are pretty great. I use one to take pressure off my tailbone. There is no liquid in them, so no worry about ruptures or messes. Miracle Cushion Extreme.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Try one of those gel cushions they advertise in TV. There are no issues with them used one for a year, after a while they mash down some but I weigh 240. Can get them at CVS, Target and K-Mart. Best $20 bucks you can spend.

maybe I might go to cvs and get one of those, I know my tailbone hurts at times normally after 4 hours driving or so then I have to take a break sometimes
-
I will second this cushion. I was leary due to the price, but my butt and back love it.

I hear ya'... the air ride seats in these trucks really need to be improved. Ever since getting into a Cascadia about 8 months ago I started developing what almost seems like a bone bruise in my buttock region...
^^^ THIS is the ticket that at least gives me enough comfort to continue driving. I went through a variety of different seat cushions and this one really works. I picked mine up at Little America in Wyoming for about $80. They sell three different thicknesses, and recommend I avoid the thickest one because it gets returned by many drivers because it starts cutting off leg circulation. With my middle thick one I still have a bit of a problem with leg circulation because the thickness of the gel pad needs to be shaved down in the front, right now it is squared off and 1.5" thick right under the middle of my hamstrings and I find myself constantly trying to change position to avoid the pressure. I'm thinking about just opening the cloth cover and cutting down the front edges to give some "notches" for my legs. Other than that, I think this is by far the best cushion on the market. I use it in conjunction with a lumbar support, which has really made a difference as well. -
Has anyone tried the new Bose truck seat?

I'm very interested in this for whenever I get my own truck. -
I had a bit of that, myself. I lowered the seat an inch or two to raise my knees slightly higher than my hip joints. I imagine these cushions could be easy to trim, though.

looking at the site and watching the videos and stuff I would get that seat if I had my own truck. $6k though for a single system
