Trucker shot at on K-17

The driver of a tractor-trailer reported being shot at by a passing vehicle along K-17 south of South Hutchinson on Thursday evening, Reno County Sheriff Randy Henderson reported.

Duane Brown, 52, of Farmington, Ark. had just loaded his truck at Morton Salt and was headed south on K-17 when the window on the driver's side was shattered from the shot.
Brown was reportedly fired at by a white male that was part of a group of three young men in a small faded black pickup, an older model Chevy S-10 pickup, according to reports.
South Hutchinson detective Tim Skomal said the shot might have come from an air gun or a paintball gun loaded with marbles.
"We only have preliminary findings," Skomal said, as he and other officers directed traffic south, along K-17, into the right lane, while the semi, South Hutchinson and Reno County Sheriff's officers investigated the scene.
Fragments of glass were on the highway near where the truck pulled over to the side of the road, just north of Crupper's Corner.

I hope they catch those idiots fast before one gets killed. Shooting at a truck is like taking candy from a baby...what heroes you are, you morons...can you hit the side of a barn as well? Whoopee! Sounds like a few drunken hicks having some fun...
