Trucker stabs police officer

Someone is walking towards the door in the middle of the night and you’re going to give them the chance to explain what they’re doing? Wow.....

 

Some guy broke into your house, and is carrying out your daughter in the middle of the night, you want to have a conversation with him because you are 95% sure that he's kidnapping your daughter.

Next, you'd call 911. And the dispatcher will walk you through what to do next. And they will send the boys in blue. And they will rescue your daughter without harming the perp (wait...can't call him that...he needs our understanding. See it's not his fault) and they will take him to a place where he can get help for his problem. That's how it works on TV, right?

Now, the problem that you would have in all of this is with the wife. When you explain to your wife what you did, and allowed this guy to take your daughter, odds are she won't understand. She's going to ask you, "How could you just stand there and do nothing?" Anything that you say to her isn't going to bring her comfort. Oh, but she'll get over it, right? No she wont.

 

Wait...he might have a good explanation. What explanation would you accept? And no, you don't have to be PC. Say what you really feel.

I’m not siding with the suspect in the video at all. You’re confusing me with someone else. The criticisms I have presented in this thread are a different scenario than what happened in the video. I quote myself for clarification:

You get killed over a traffic summons pay the fine & ride on. The police officer was polite & now you're dead. It is sad for his family to see your family member doing something stupid & uncalled for. Some people brains just don't operate well. I'm pretty sure the officer didn't want to kill him but you left him no alternative trying hurt or kill him over a traffic summons. Yes it was reasonable for the police officer. You never know how it will effect someone when you had to kill someone. My view is the police officer was respectful to this driver & the driver was ignorant and stupid for no reason

 

People are killed by "non-lethal" weapons. Ask the Israelis. They shoot rioters with rubber bullets and sometimes those rubber bullets hit people in the face and people die.

The bleeding hearts want cops to shoot charging animals in the earlobe or the pinky toe because they would prefer a cop die than professional protestors have another protest.

 

99% of police shootings wouldn't happen if thugs didn't charge at cops instead of signing the citation.

 

If they are writing a citation, they at least think you're not a law abiding citizen, and for the very, very vast bulk of the time they are correct.

 

Cops are already trained & instructed to not use deadly force unless necessary. Tasers are not effective in numerous circumstances and some thigs simply pull the barbs of the taser out and resume fighting.

If you don't fight with cops your chances of getting shot by cops is almost like your chances of winning the lottery. When the cops give a lawful order you follow it, not go into Sidewalk Attorney/SJW mode. The courts are where you argue your case.
