Hey my name is Joe, like some of the other guys I have been using this site as a leech bed for information. Just started school and hope to give back to the community!

Welcome Leech (oops, I mean Joe)!:biggrin_2559:This is a great place to get the book larnin' they don't teach in driving schools. Now, I haven't been to driving school yet, but, I've read umteen million posts here by students who have found this site to be a treasure trove of info offered by drivers who have "done this deal" and from drivers who are still doing it. Glad you are with us. Let us know how things progress!

I will write more about the experience, though not immediately. I have heard of schools/companies finding students/drivers who write negative feedback and "dealing" with them. I want to tell people what I learned to help them, but I won't be able to do that if I get canned. I will say that some, ahem, "interesting" things have come up so far!

Welcome Joe. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and getting to know you now that you have given up the 'leech' stage. That was a description I have never heard on here before, but glad you are ready to join in. It's a great group of people on here.

I'm currently at C1 in Fort Wayne. Unfortunately I got stuck with PAM due to a misdemeanor that USA dropped me for(destruction of park property, though I suspect they just had to many students signed up at once, that's the machinery of the business I suppose). My long term goals are to suck it up, get my year in, then try to move into flatbed work. Seems more interesting to me, and most of the guys who tell me it's crap say the same about manual shift trucks.....Maye they should pull loads with minivans! Thats one negative about PAM, I'll lose out on shifting experience.
