...and spent it. There's also a non-compete clause in that lease that prevents them from improving any of the state highways near the toll road.

Shouldn't us professional drivers always obey highway signs and laws? Shouldn't we always keep our documents and rigs safe and legal? If we pull into a toll entry, don't we pay attention to the laws? I was gifted with a Level 2 DOT inspection from Texas DOT officers a couple of weeks ago, and found my fire extinguisher charge was low. I got off easy with a warning, but I also got a new, fully charged fire extinguisher. Random or blitz, I work hard to be ready and legal. It just seems to be part of being a professional commercial driver. My $.02.

So we do everything in our power to be 100% legal and safe, but how about getting ticket for a light that went out between the time you started driving and the time DOT pulls you over, and they still give you a ticket. Probably legal on their part though, just being jerks.

(b) Spare fuses. Power units for which fuses are needed to operate any required parts and accessories must have at least one spare fuse for each type/size of fuse needed for those parts and accessories.
There's probably a reason drivers are not charged with arbitrating which circuits are critical. An HVAC fan and windshield wipers and mirror heaters can at least come in pretty handy sometimes.ziggity Thanks this. -
I hope to see more LED lighting technology from Luxury cars move in to Big Rigs. I have read that the Penske Cascadias already are running the LED headlamps. With those and LED markers on all markers and on the trailers this would stop this insanity of light tickets even after repairing the problem right away. I am keeping my fingers crossed for this to happen soon.

Forget about LED, how about bad wiring, what then?
Also seen trucks with bad pig tail, any bump in the road or 90 degree turn and the markers will blink. Its like a homing signal to DOT saying "Come get me!"ziggity Thanks this. -
i would suspect the number of lights that fail in transit are directly
proportional to the number of cases of VD from toilet seatsziggity Thanks this.
