    Truck Drivers:

Beware of any company that requires you to sign a release for a USIS/DAC report!

This is an unfair system of reporting your employment history that has no system of checks and balances. Any employee can report anything about you on this report whether its TRUE or FALSE.

Why should you be subjected to a reporting system that allows employers to report any incident involving your career without any system of verification?

Shackhouser is correct. Anyone with the software & password to an active DAC account (this would be the employer/personnel) has the ability to report or receive information about you with minimal verification. All they really need is your Social Security number & driver license number. The checks & balances once they are inside are gone. They can report or receive anything they wish. It is then up to the driver to watch, monitor, & rebuke any maliciousness he or she finds. You can get a free report on your own. HireRight.com It takes about 2 weeks for it to come in. They also handle disputes for inaccurate information, but it is up to you to file for it. All this is free of charge as well.
