Population and traffic was just two of the reasons I left Austin. It was getting more and more ridiculous every year.
Best of Luck finding something better.

I live in Nevada; what's a traffic jam?
What are state income taxes? I've heard of that, but never experienced it.
I heard some states require food taxes at the grocery stores. Is that just a rumor? Nevada grocery stores don't know what that is.

    tscottme and austinmike Thank this.

Changing your perspective is a real possibility. Dallas used to be my #1 most hated city to drive in. I'd rather go to LA than Dallas but then I started running into and out of Dallas daily. I finally accepted the fact that I'll have traffic to deal with as part of the job. I don't mind driving in Dallas anymore. It surprised me.
