Truckers hit back at lorry plan

A TRANSPORT organisation is building resistance to a scheme that could see heavy vehicles ousted from the Cotswolds.
Gloucestershire County Council has outlined proposals to create a lorry management zone across the area.
But now the Freight Transport Association has warned the authority that its plan, to restrict the operation of commercial vehicles above 7.5 tonnes, will bring no benefits.
