Unfortunately for the majority of otr drivers, the image is well deserved.

I meant the home weekly or daily drivers on this thread that were insulting the otr drivers for not having a life.

I used to have a dedicated run between the SF bay area and just south or Portland OR. Every week I had 24 hours to kill so one nice fall day I went out to the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville Oregon. It was freekin amazing. The spruce goose that Howard Hughes built is housed there as well as some amazing jets and historic planes.

I visit supermodels in hospitals and solve crimes concerning their family. I thought that's what trucking was all about. It was in the 1970s & 1980s :)

You dont earn more than me pulling a dry van for cpm, trust me. And you giving away hometime. Go find a home. This is a job, not a lifestyle.

    Coover and DTP Thank this.

i don't "see" any of us insulting the OTR drivers, when especially MANY of us did that work.

then too, and let's be honest here, "how many people ask us about life on the road, cuz they HAVE no family or homme now as it is"...???

if one WANTS to stay out on the road, then one gets what he/she wished/asked for.

and as far as "society" goes, the "general public hates us already. now couple that with pee bottle bombs, bags of crap (and I DO MEAN CRAP) in a walmart (or other shopping plaza), and the way many are foul mouthed when sitting in a truck stop where FAMILIES are eating as well, can anyone blame the general public, or "society"..???

Coover, Wargames and already gone Thank this.
