It's real easy to keep saying " don't haul cheap freight " but that doesn't do much to help anyone.... even if you are right. We've all watched it time and time again . Guys will haul for peanuts , desperate to keep their head above water . But in reality they are already out of business and just won't admit it. I don't know what the solution is. I don't want anymore government involvement in the industry. But something has to change. These brokers have to be reigned in. If putting a cap on the brokers percentage works, I say do it. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see all of the 3pl's go under. My own personal strategic plan is to beat the bushes and find direct customers so that I don't deal with brokers. What works for me won't work for everyone. Still.... somethings got to change.
