I really think my idea of a trucker's cookbook would sell. You guys need to easy healthy, with quick, cheap, easy meals. I think the average truck driver is more concerned about his eating habits than in the past, but needs a little help getting started.

I think a recipe book/pamphlet would go over well, you could probably get it in print and published pretty cheap if you went in pamphlet form. Shoot, just having Quick, Easy, and Cheap in the title will get alot of truckers to buy it without even looking inside.

Yeah, but SPAM filters might block me out.

We must not see the same ones. Some of the ones I see are into the wide open grazing. -
okay well you see, this is what you do.
Take a decent but inexpensive piece of beef roast, not too thick. chop up your onions ans mushrooms, put some cajun seasoning, butter, worshester sauce, minced garlic and a little water or stock. Wrap it all up real good in many layers of aluminum foil. Now you take that package and stick it between the engine bloc and the exhaust manifold (try not to get it too close to the manifold if you are in a mountainous area) and drive about 150 miles down the road, stop and open it up and you have a heck of a good smothered steak.

I agree with the cookbook idea. Right now I am using the Biggest Looser book as it has some great meals that are good for you nd don't taste like cardboard. I have a microwave oven, and a crock pot in my truck as well as a coleman camp stove for when I am parked. With that combination and a little creativity I can cook most of the meals. (My microwave has a broiller bar in it and can also bake, I had to order it from circuit city and I store it under the bunk when not in use along with my 4qt crock) I have a rigmaster onboard as well as a 2500w inverter for when we a rolling so I always have 110 power.

Some advice: avoid refined (white) sugar. I quit eatin' that garbage about 9 months ago and I've lost about 25 pounds. And this is with very little exercise. I didn't starve myself, either.
