This time last year, the company my hubby worked for would have had nothing to fear from this site, and everything to gain. But because of everything that happened in July and August of this year, they have every reason to fear this site!

There is no way I would be where I am today without this site.I would have blindly signed up with some company sponsored training and been under some huge commitment at 28 cents per mile because I simply didn't posses the knowledge to make an inform decision.

All I wanted was a chance to preform my craft safely and not hurt myself or anyone else.I knew no truck drivers and had no clue what to expect and I probably would have been ate up and spit out.Instead I am immensely happy where I am at. I paid my own way for my training. I owe no commitment to anyone and can walk away whenever I please.I make 35 cents per mile with a raise and a 500 dollar bonus on the way and see no reason why I shouldn't have a long successful career and it is all because of the information that was shared with me.

I cant even begin to express my gratitude for the information that I found on this site.I tell every driver I meet about this site. There aren't enough words in the English language to express my gratitude for all the information that is shared with me.Be safe out there and god bless :iroc:

Finding this site was one of the reasons to help concrete my decision to get intro trucking. As a soon to be schoolie and driver, I intend to use this site to the best of my ability to learn what to watch for, and how to interview and ask the right questions.

I'm going to be hurting a little bit for a job right after school, but I intend to hold out for the best job I can manage. I understand you have to "pay your dues" but I'm not willing to sacrifice my own safety or my health (mental included) to make a buck.

    Thanks Trucker's Report! :smt024

The more research you do the better informed you will be.
It will go a long way in helping you along with the many situations you'll face in the future.

You're one of the reasons I come to this site. Man, I wish to hell I could have had a source like The Truckers' Report back when I started. I would have done things completely differently. I would have gone to a cheap school that had short training or I would have gotten a grant to pay for it (I paid 5K out of my own pocket). I would have gone with a great company instead of the POS outfit I did go with (SwiftQuit). I would have taken some lumps instead of quitting a job or two I did quit when I got pissed off over something that wasn't that big a deal. Yeah, I would have done a lot better from the get-go and would have had much more success my first few years.

But I didn't have this site. It's all under the bridge now, but at least I CAN help guys like you avoid the minefields and (most of) the mistakes.

Do you honestly think this site is hurting recruiters? If it were, we wouldnt be paying money to have our recruiting websites appear on top of this page. Trust me when I say, I get plenty of traffic to my website from this message board.
A vast majority of smart drivers dont listen to the borderline illiterate rantings of a few drivers who are always quick to blame others for their own mistakes.
I know a number of drivers, who failed at the company Im employeed, that post here and other places. Sure, their stories sound terrible, but, you really arent getting the truth at all. There is one driver out here that shall go nameless (I wouldnt risk my job by posting his personal info out here). He knows who he is. His true story isnt even close to what he is ranting about. He was fired for being just an all around crappy driver. Everytime his FM would give him more miles, he would prove that he couldnt handle more miles by screwing up royally. But if you listen to him, its all the companies fault. Anyone who works there would surely do as bad as him. Do you understand why he does it? As long as he can get 1 or 2 people to believe his made up story, he wont have to deal with knowing that he is a failure.
Anyway, this is one recruiter who thanks you for keeping our name out there, both negative and positive posts. They all help us do our job.

You do realize that the referrals you get from this site are likely people who are visiting to ridicule your site? Just earlier I checked out the Hot Class A Jobs website just to see the trash JB Hunt was trying to sell while hiding their name so they could actually get phone calls. Ads are run through a redirector, and using Google Ads you can choose sites you don't want to display ads from. Personally, I think your lies here are representative of the lies on your website.

Edit: On another note, any time I see an ad for JB Hunt or another employer I click simply because it earns the site I'm at revenue and costs the company advertising.

Is that possible for a recruiter ? I don't think so. My past experience has been that they will tell you what you want to hear and gloss over the really important parts like, how long will you be out and how are your freight levels. But that was then when I was wet behind the ears, lol. A pig with lipstick is still a pig.

Recruiter, I just went back and did a revision of your writing. When you try to contract two words, such as "do not", an apostrophe has to take the place of the "o". You also have to use a hyphen when you use a compound adjective. "made" + "up" + "story" becomes "made-up story". There are other mistakes I corrected as well. It's much better now.

It's still bunk, but at least it's finally correct.

    Too-duh-Loo!
