I'm sure everyone wants to know how it stacks up against PC Miler, garmin Dezl Rand McNally, FREE life time updates the usual gps questions. Also be kinda handy to know demensions/weight and mounting options.

    Hi Bubbanbrenda,
I don't want to come on and pretend to be someone I am not so I will be honest with you.
I am from TruckersTablet.com so I am partial to the Truckers tablet.

Having said that I also do not want to brake any rules on this forum or shamelessly promote my product.
To answer you briefly it is a 7 inch Tablet with built in WiFi, that comes standard with several useful APPs
and GPS software built by NNG the world leader in navigation with truck navigation using NAVTEQ maps.

The tablet comes packed with a tablet Mount for windshield or dash mounting by Arkon.
    Dimensions: approx 8" x 4.75" with a 7" screen.

I have been told by users that it stacks up well against the competition and is faster than most when recalculating is necessary.

If you would like more details please feel free to PM me.

The Truckers Tablet GPS was recently seen at GATS! It was at the Transcore booth at this years Great American Truck Show (GATS) where it was the chosen tool used to demo their new "My DAT Trucker Services app"

Good choice of partners. That's the booth that had the QR code that wouldn't scan since it was behind a shiny plexiglass cover. Although the app you mention actually sort of worked the last time I tried it. For a while there all it would do is crash or produce a login prompt for features that don't need a login.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Transcore. I like the Trucker's Edge load board. Dead simple and I hope it stays that way.

$250 for a tablet with 4 yr old specs? No thanks. You can buy those all day long for under $100 and they are junk. Can you just buy the "trucking app" to put on your android phone or tablet?

Sounds like you didn't really look at the specs to compare with others.
The Truckers tablet has actual GPS hardware built in, and custom software to provide more GPS features than a standard truck GPS.
If you are more comfortable with a plain Android tablet without these features or prefer using a cell phone with an app and having to use a data plan and simulated GPS using cellular phones go for it.
If you need a good Truck GPS with more features than standard Truck GPS units, including having the added features of a tablet PC then take a look at the Truckers tablet.
