Truckers wave almost got me killed…

It’s not the 71 in a 65,

It’s the being in a restricted lane .

the DOT mobile units around me sit and wait for that
Instead of doing random stops

I've understood Lanes 3 and 4 are the 2 RIGHT Lanes (or 3 or 4 to 6).
Inner Lanes (from Median) 1 and 2 are Left Lanes.

Here in Michigan, lane one and two are to the left of the road.

Two lane freeways, trucks can go in any lane but by law they can’t park their butts in the lane but has to get over in the right lane, this happens a lot on 94 between port huron and Detroit area.

if there is three or more lanes, trucks are to stay in the right two lanes unless exiting to an exit on the left which is allowed a mile before the exit. No passing on the left - period.

I see a lot of Canadian trucks sitting in the left lane on almost all the freeways, they will do the speed limit or just above it.

But then we have those Canadians who seem to pass everyone on the left, sometimes even passing cops and sometimes do 80 mph, had one pass me yesterday recklessly on 94 in Detroit.

Wayne county sheriff has stepped up their pulling over trucks for left lane violations. These guys can be nasty, and I’ve seen them call in ice to do a full tractor inspection.

Michigan state police has also been more proactive with lane usage but we need to return to allowing any cop to pull a truck over to ticket the driver, only “trained” officers can do that. Where I used to lived, that city and the city next to it had truck enforcement officers who even had portable scales and pulled trucks over when they were speeding.

 

I have been too poor to pay attention so I’m completely unaware of this truckers wave. Maybe this is a European import.

 

It's akin to the truckers hat and the truckers wallet...

 

You're gonna get yourself killed thinking that wasp spray is going to do anything to a human. Especially a pissed-off human.

What did I miss? Looks like what ever that guy used ran off who ever got sprayed?
