Are there any truckers out there that have ADD/ADHD and who medicate, and are still able to keep their trucking job? As for myself, I do not think it's a limitation to operating a CMV nor does my doctor, but it seems to be a topic of taboo for some.
Thanks!

Several drivers on here in the past said they take that medication. What they didn't say, is if they revealed it during a DOT physical or not, even though you are supposed to.
-
Thanks for your reply.....I think the main problem is that some companies wont take drivers that take certain ADD medications.

Don't say a word. If you can drive and be safe keep it to yourself..

Would the medication show up in a urine drug screen?
-
some legal stuff will deff show up -
Some heads up. The doctor who did my physical mentioned about the feds restricting mental illnesses from driving commercially, in the next year or so. But she could've been just saying that cause she was anal about it in the first place. She just couldn't see anything but deranged truck drivers terrorizing the country in their big rigs.

That's a whole lot of people right there I would imagine. But if someone is mentally ill and a possible danger to themselves and/or others, I would definitely agree with legislation like that. But if they mean your garden variety depressed or ADD type folks of everyday life then no, I don't agree.

haha no, it makes you a better driver because it's pharmaceutical amphetamine.. it will show up on a piss test, the good news is amphetamine is out of your system in 1-2 days, maybe 3-4 with a regular usage. and for all purposes, i am talking about the legal kind of amphetamine like ritalin, adderal,
