I like the way you think, flyingmusician! I'll hold 'em while you cut and stuff 'em!
That was my first thought as well. But then, I have to wonder if this was not purely motivated by profit, rather than revenge.
Just like all these phone calls I've been getting from folks with heavy accents, wanting to "fix" my computer. You just can't let your guard down at all, on anything. Ain't tekknowledge wunnerful?
To Sam, and all the rest of the staff. I'm sure we all are very thankful to have you guys doing what you do. Those of us who have been around as staff, on these things, have a pretty darn good idea of the amount of time, blood, sweat and tears that you folks put in. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Now, as far as trying to recover my money, I was super quick to donate 1.5 million, so I will be expecting a check, shortly!

It's possible, but the leading theory is that this hacking was financially motivated.
If I could put one of you in the room with the hacker, I'm sure you'd extract that information for me.
But without knowing his motivation it's hard to say, I'm not even sure if it was intentional. The hacker was most likely using a hacking script to make changes on the site, but since TruckersReport has so many customizations it's possible that one of the pre-programmed hacks attempted to make a change in unfamiliar territory and broke something.
