Lol, even Punjabi Trucking Association gets it :)

“Raman Dhillon, CEO of the North American Punjabi Trucking Association, recently told Overdrive about meeting with President Joe Biden and DOT leadership and pleading with them to clean up the CDL credentialing system. Dhillon reported CDL schools in his area that blatantly skirt the Entry Level Driver Training requirements to FMCSA for years to no avail.

"Simple things" to police, he felt. "You know the location [of the reported schools], you know the area, you know everything we provided you -- you can’t just even go there and take a look at it?" Dhillon recalled of his conversations with FMCSA: "Every time," FMCSA's response was "it's just lack of manpower."

Let’s cut IT staff when they are probably going to be needed the most with the coming changes :)

Still have to get law enforcement involved. If you've ever had to do that you know it's an exercise in futility.
Three weeks ago a stolen IRP plate. Know the truck it's on. No one will take a report, just cancel it and maybe they will get stopped and the plate removed.
Two cargo thefts over the years, try to get anyone to take the report. They just push you to file with another jurisdiction who pushes you to another.

What if people actually had to show up to work and be held accountable for their productivity? There’s probably a reason why government employees were so butthurt about an email requesting they list what they did over the course of a week.

In South Dakota you used to be able to go to the Prorate office, write a check, and walk out with a truck or trailer plate. Then everyone got so stay home. So it became a weeks long process to get plates. When I sold my truck in April I had to file for an expedited title because they had a 6 month long backlog of printing paper titles. There is zero reason for that kind of lack of productivity other than people aren’t worried about being replaced.

They’ve gotten it down to 3 months. Lol. Zero reason for this.
