As the titles states, What trucking companies in Alabama offer cdl training? I plan on getting my cdl thru a company sponsored school. What trucking companies do you guys recommend?

Celadon has a school in Gadsden.
Evergreen Transport has a school in Evergreen.
    Both have meals and lodging.

Evergreen runs Southeast regional and Texas.
Celadon has flatbed and refrigerated and runs coast to coast.

The positive to both is you graduate with an Alabama cdl. If you go to a school in another state such as Arkansas, or any other state, you will graduate with that states cdl, then will have to return to Alabama and change it over. Each state has their own rules on this.

Does it have to be in Alabama? Several companies will hire you and ship you to another state for school at their expense plus provide meals & lodging while in school.

Check out Itawamba Community College driver training. I know it's not what you are exactly looking for but its really a better option for you. You will have your CDL and be able to pick the company you work for. Good thing is grants pay for your class. I was out of pocket $260 to get my CDL. It's a 4 week course and only 3 students per class. So you get plenty of training. There are 2 instructors and they are both really good at what they do. Check it out, it keep you out of a contract with a company. If you have any questions let me know. I can give you my instructors cell number and he can answer your questions.
