Primarily because the insurance won't let them run at least the state speed limit

Primarily because the insurance companies won't let them including running the speed limit in some states which make you a safety hazard. 35+ yr veteran

If you have to ask, then you wouldn't understand anyways. Sounds like a dispatcher in disguise
BlueThunderr Thanks this. -
I drove a 1998 w900 w/a 500 cat & 13spd. Running 80,000 most of time hauling cotton & Paper & averaged 6.5 mpg running 75 most of time (& sometimes 80 if needed) from elizabethtown, nc to denver,co & p/t NE. It is a matter of how truck is setup & spec'd & YES, I paid for the fuel. My brother drives a 2000 model Intl that gets 7 mpg running 75. 15 spd, tall rubber & long legs for gears. If you have to ask why, then you wouldn't understand. No, not a lot of chrome & do-dads either. Have a great day. 35+ yrs

He should have asked.... Freedom of speech & looking for an intelligent answer. If your to stupid to give a decent answer or just don't know, keep your mouth shut. If you can't help, then don't be a hinderance...........

Don't know, I rarely see the same truck twice on the same run unless they start & stop when I do.
