Yes, it's true the owner of a company did not do all the work in building their business! It is foolish to think otherwise! Who did the heavy lifting in the business were the employees hired to do just that. In the process the owner created jobs. However what the owner did that the employees did NOT do was put their money on the line. I know a business owner in my hometown that did this in the late 70s. He quit his Human Resources job, took out a large business loan using his house as collateral, bought some used equipment and started selling ready mix concrete. Over time he and his family after years of hard work built that business into a multimillion dollar company. They have provided over a hundred good paying jobs.

Some of you interested in this thread might like this one, too:

    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...nity-keep-in-touch/96287-southern-shaker.html

It's tucked back in one of the sub-forums, so some of you might have missed it. If you were a southern-route chicken hauler back in the days when trucking was fun, you'll probably run across some names in there that you'll recognize. You'll see some things in there that will make you smile. And if you're like me, it'll have you remembering some things that will make you realize how lucky you are to still be alive. LOL
