    while chassis number says S17 FAHRERSITZ LUFTGEFEDERT "ISRINGHAUSEN"

    when did air seat become mainstream in USA?
    here on construction trucks in mid 80s, long distance late 1970s

    The only truck I have ridden in without an air seat was my dad's 1964 Peterbilt, but in truth, it originally had an air seat. The company from whom he bought it put auto bucket seats in it. I've been in trucks since I was 3 years old in 1968.
