Trucking in the oil fields of Texas

Here in MI you have to get your background check first, rhen go back to DMV (SOS here) to take hazmat test. Fed site says it takes at least a month, plus just getting an appt to do the screening takes three weeks, so at least two months total.

 

12-14 hours/day 5-6 days/week if you're lucky.

 

It took me 4 months to land a job. If you are applying online you need to trick the system to pick you are go to a hiring event.

 

Depends on what your getting paid. You could work 70 hrs and get percentage. Me I only work for ticket time if I haul water. Ticket time is different than actual hours worked. If a ticket says 3 hrs and you get it done in 1 your still getting paid for 3 making it possible to pull 4 loads or better. Then your pay check will be 100 or 110 hrs a week and you only worked 60.
