    Hello,

Are there any good companies that will put a newbie through the three week process in order to get the CDL? Like Stevens Transport in Dallas, Texas? Anywhere in Indiana and/or Kentucky would work.

    Thanks.

I know of some in Indiana, but they are mill schools that you want to stay away from. Your best bet if you can is to look into a community college..I don't where you are at, but Vincennes University offers CDL training that is longer then the 2 weeks..I think theirs is 10 weeks, and there is Sage Ivy tech community college here in Indiana with a few places here in Indiana, but like I said I don't have any idea of what area you live in.

Also avoid C1 out of Indiana. On a good note - I felt that the instructors knew what they were doing and were experienced truckers. However, three range instructors quit within 2 days of each other for better-paying jobs; and 3 trucks out of a fleet of 10 died ALL IN THE SAME WEEK. Their financing company REFUSED to work with me on a payment plan after I switched to another school; and the newest truck of the fleet was a 2002 Volvo with leaking air tanks which caused the air brakes to frequently lock up on us as we practiced our range maneuvers. But hey - discover the joys of NOT getting what you paid for on your own.

Did I mention that this school was a complete joke?
