My parents held me in their arms when we went somewhere in a pickup and no room for car seat. Before car seats that's just what you did. Course I was born in 81 so I don't know dude. I've seen worse. I wouldn't have called the cops. Maybe mom was getting ready to breastfeed. Might of got a free show then. Would you have called the cops then???
pattyj Thanks this. -

The government has turned America into weaklings plain and simple.Take that for what it's worth.
SMTatham and GenericUserName Thank this. -
why not do us all a favor, how about minding your nose where it is like on your face, and let the rest be, you acting like they were taking the baby to the firing squad to be killed really?
Why hey not post about something more relevant such as maybe the woman who actually strapped her kids in the car seats and seat belts then ran the car into the lake....this would be more appropriate, or maybe you felt that they were heading to a lake, I don't know, just don't get it.....
and for for all those who sneeze out in public, or pick your nose in public hope you have a permit to do that as the way I read it op would call you in if you don't have the permit properly displayed on your forehead.
i know here's your sign..... -
Jeeeez...I cannot believe someone would actually think about calling the police for something like this. I'm flabbergasted...if that is even a word. Dumbfounded. Speechless. Well almost. Pretty soon I'm going to have to ask the government if I can take a piss.
pattyj Thanks this. -
We've all seen jaw dropping things but the op took what he saw to a whole new level. Its not uncommon to see a baby on the mothers lap while in the car. Before reading about the child not in the car seat the thing that went thru my mind was he witnessed the baby getting beat.

While driver's intentions were good i'm sure, being concerned for the safety of the child, you could have done more damage peering into the car and not looking down the road, fumbling to write down a plate number and making a cell call. I would have chosen to shake my head and think "what a dumb@zz", then take mental solace in knowing i'm doing my part to keep that family safe by keeping my rig safe. -
One day I was walking down the sidewalk. I came upon a fenced in yard and I heard a woman's voice repeating "13, 13, 13, 13" over and over. I found a hole in the fence and took a peek. Suddenly I was poked in the eye with a stick. Then the woman started repeating "14, 14, 14, 14". That's the day I learned to mind my own business.
skellr, allniter, nshore harleyguy and 2 others Thank this. -
When I read this story several years ago, it put into perspective the absolute need for young ones to be in car seats at all times no matter what. If your childrens lives arent that important then feel free to not be responsible.

oh and personally I would not call the cops on someone for this reason as I mind my own business, but I personally do not move my car until my kids are in their seats, belts buckled.allniter Thanks this.
