I was wondering about company trucks getting serviced;

1) How often do companies like for their trucks to be serviced?
2) How long does it take to get the truck serviced?
3) How do they schedule you to get a service done?

This literally depends on the company. For sure, if the truck is still under a warranty they will have it serviced often enough to keep the warranty in effect. I drove a Ryder tractor for a while, and, they didn't want to see the truck but every 30,000 miles unless something broke. It broke a lot. The company I drive for now lets me decide when and where to get a PM service. I change filters, oil, and lube the chassis at 15,000 miles.

2) How long does it take to get the truck serviced?
Some of the truck service facilities (like Speedco) advertise a service will be accomplished within 30 minutes. Most of the time it's more like an hour, depending on the wait to get in the door.

3) How do they schedule you to get a service done?
If they have a shop they will just tell you to show up for a service, usually. Sometimes the driver has to track the mileage and request the service. This all depends on who you work for, and, their procedures.
