He's happy.
He started in one of the older trucks but got a newer one just this week and they hooked up his inverter. He hasn't been home every weekend but it has been his choice. Figured with all the holidays this time of the year it's better if he works at least part of the weekend. Weekend after Thanksgiving they didn't have anything for him to get out of Florida on the day he chose to, so he had to run empty quite a few miles, which is not good because they have a split pay (.42 loaded, .24 empty) but it looks like it's all going to even out in the end. What surprised me about that was that knowing that it was going to happen they didn't balk at the drivers about going home. At all. He was home very early Thursday (as in the middle of the night) and didn't leave until Monday.
They run paper logs, have the miles and the hometime is real.
Trucks Inc in Jackson, GA. Rumor is they are selling? anyone have info?
