He traced the problem back to the relay box on the fire wall. He changed the R7 relay which is the trailer stop light. And that didn't help. So I left. I'm not going down a rabbit whole at a TA. No offense to them but I'm learning there tricks.
So out side the bay. I take out the trailer power relay and all good things are restored. I put in a new trailer power relay and the brake light stays on again. Take it back out and all the lights return to normal. So I currently have it out.
I replaced the power and distribution box about three weeks ago. Maybe this relay fuse box needs to be changed ad well?

    What did the tech do?
He hooked up a new green power cord from the tractor to the trailer and the brake light stayed on, then he used his own power source to power the trailer and the brake light went out. He said that means it's on the tractor. (So I get that).
Then he pulled and checked the trailer stop fuse it did not look blown. So he said it must be the trailer stop relay. When that didn't help. I left.

    Um... mid 20's, what?

That body style is a 2018 or older. The truck is at the end of its service life. Ho many miles are on it? 600k? 800k? 1 mil?

FL has had a few recalls on brake lights staying on and related issues. My ‘99 was recalled in ‘02or ‘03 for the rod between foot peddle and valve bending and possible breaking and our ‘03 was recalled for the light switch that would fuse inside contacts and stay lit. That one you could smell every time you sat on peddle for a long light. Lol!

Relays are probably one of the most reliable electronic components around. In 15 years I've only ever come across 1 relay that had actually failed.
