I am in Charlotte, NC, college educated, laid off from a fortune 500 company, Techie field. Fedup of corporate nonsense and just 1% annual raise and stuck up bosses, I feel trucking will give me some freedom. No financial issues, clean record, I want to be home every 2 weeks and prefer to drive in the lower states. Can someone please guide me, do I join a paid training where you sign a contract to work for a year, which company should I look at. Also if I ever break my contract and get a better offer , what will my liability be, just the cost of the CDL class I suppose ?
Is making 75k PA feasible.
Thanks for all the advise you will give.

Yes, you can make 75k. If you find the right company.
And you’ll like trucking. I got a 10% raise in this past year. They’re projecting 10% more this year. That was after having my pay frozen for 8 years, and being held at entry level pay for experienced drivers.
Please note. The wizards of finance say we are about to get hit with a severe recession. The last one had a lot of us sitting around making ZERO dollars per day.Sirscrapntruckalot, Tb0n3, kahnsaab and 1 other person Thank this. -
