Pretty Liberal. Too early to tell though since I moved over to the Company Driver side. First home time I took a week when my Mom died. They offered me Two weeks but I chose to just take one. Second home time was 6 days at Thanksgiving. Third home time was 6 days at Christmas. I've as yet to have a common home time. But I know how valued I am by my dispatcher and he knows that I wouldn't abuse it.
How's it going Chinatown? Didn't know if you were aware I retired but I am enjoying it. Will never see my fat ### in a truck again
14-21 days. I like running to the PNW so I am usually out there weeks or so. I have a Leonard's thread. I was working here for a year and a half on the owner operator side.
The owner operator's truck that I was driving had almost 2 million miles on it and was breaking frequently. He couldn't keep it up and had trouble getting the local mechanics to work on it. I was home a hundred days my first year mostly waiting for my truck to be repaired.
Thank you. There on some on this forum that like to ridicule Company Drivers. In a previous thread, I was told that 70k per year was Chicken$#!T money. In my world, 70k for working 43-45 weeks per year with full benefits, 401k, vacation pay, breakdown pay, great lanes, great hometime, and ABSOLUTELY no financial risk on my part, is not a bad living. I am almost 62 years old. WHY would I risk my fairly substantial savings on becoming an O/O.....L/O, particularly in these crazy financial times.
I wondered what happened to you. I had to start walking every day to keep the weight off. You still in Tennessee? I've only been back to Tennessee one time and that was to visit my sister in Clarksville.
