2,900 miles is an unreal average if you take any home time.
Cretes paid miles are real close on the longer loads, but on the 500 mile or shorter loads, they screw you out of a lot more miles.
Say they pay you 30 miles deadhead and it's 45 miles, and then pay you 370 loaded miles and it's really 395 miles. But if it pays 2,400 loaded miles, you'll probably drive 2,390 miles....

    jhurle9403 Thanks this.

Ozark Motor Lines is dry van. No New York City or Canada. Trucks have APU and can take pet and 2 riders. Riders don't have to be family.
Read that Abilene Motor Express turned their trucks up to 72 mph.

I have not gotten back on the road yet since I've had my major eye surgery on my right eye but my experience with them was pretty good I think I averaged 2500 or close to it before I had my eye surgery

    And you know this how?

I don't have personal experience with them, but knowing someone who has now been with them 5 years, I know he does okay. Granted, he voluntarily stays out 3 weeks then only takes 3 days of hometime, but he makes .51 or .52 per mile and gets 125,000 miles per year. With bonuses and extra side pay, he's over $65,000 per year, close to $70,000 per year. That still isn't enough for me to be gone 3 weeks at a time lol, but not terrible.

Maybe 65 or 70 as a trainer I doubt a solo drive would make that but it would be a long shot I was out 5-7 weeks at a time
