Hello all I was in training with US Xpress when I had a couple of family emergencies that kept me away for almost a year now. Every company I call says I need 6 months of OTR experience to be looked at but when I graduated from trucking school I couldn't get the companies to stop calling me. Can anyone tell me who will be willing to pick me up if anyone???? Thanks in advance.

    Ashley Furniture......

You can hook up a straight truck job with them in your area. They're begging for drivers in PA.

    If a Class A gig is a must. You'll need a refresher.

It is funny how one company says one thing and another company says something else. I was with Con-way truckload for 2 months and left due to family issues. Now I am wanting to get back into trucking. Talked to one recruiter and she said I would probably need a refresher course of a week and another recruiter with conway said that I didn't have enough experience to refresh.

Spoke to USX and they said a refresher course, talked to KLLM and they said I could get into orientation and then with a trainer. Nothing about any refresher.
Just depends on who you talk to.

Covenant Transport usually has programs for newer drivers like yourself. Probably have to team or go with a trainer but it's a start.

Thanks I appreciate the support! It's good to see young drivers like yourself that are so knowledgable.
