Driving that garbage truck might be the best job, they pay very well , benefits , insurance, go home every day. the technology they have
in those trucks are great. it does all the lifting for you. AND some of those companies are UNION, the BEST benefits and Retirement.

 

If Rumpke is a Class-A cdl truck, then, yes it counts as experience. But, since it's a refuse truck, companies will require a little refresher with a trainer.

I've talked to a couple of drivers here in Las Vegas that drive for Waste Management and Republic Services and they said it's a great job with excellent pay and benefits. Home every day. Republic Services here is union; not sure about Waste Management.
