Yeah, I know, seems it's almost working against me.. haha. I'm keeping my chin up though. She could have at least been honest with me, we all know how massive their fleet is.

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Put out a 'job wanted' ad at Truck Paper.. maybe someone will bite. I'm half-tempted to put out a thread in the Seek Employment section here. This is going to be a long month.
I went ahead and applied for Federal Student Aid.. I found a truck driving school about an hour from here that accepts the Pell Grant (california Career School, anyone heard of it?). If I can't get back to driving soon, maybe I'll go through preschool all over again, haha.. we shall see.

Prime Inc.: NO-GO (stated that because I'm outside of their freight-lanes without four months experience, I am ineligible)

There is a good possibility !!!!!!!
SeaPea Thanks this. -
Well, so much for those ideas. Prime Inc. won't hire me because they aren't taking students from outside of their freight lanes, and I was turned down for the Pell grant this year (I think my wife and I made a little more than the qualifier), so no driving school. Hmm.. this is tough.

What about hauling fruits and nuts locally, just to get some current time behind the wheel !!

Here's what I would do. I would download or get a listing of every trucking company that is somewhat close to me and weed through the list. I searched under truck fleet directory and came up with a few companies but you can search all over to get a list. Just be careful because if you search for trucking jobs then you will get the bottom feeders because a good company does not need to advertise for drivers. Once you have a few companies then you'll want to go out and see them in person. Have all your paperwork along with you so you can fill out their application. Ask them what it will take to get hired on if you really like the company. After that you can apply on-line and then last you can ask the recruiters. At least if you get out you'll know you tried everything you could. You never know when a company needs a driver and you might just walk into a spot. It's also better to explain your case face to face than to do it over the phone or worse over the net.

Edit:
Knight Transportation: NO-GO (didn't qualify / rejected through online application)
