Try food grade tankers for a year or so. You'll learn enough so that when you get a shot at a fuel job you'll be able to work a Cam-loc fitting without getting your gloved thumb caught under an ear and looking like an idiot.

If you have a bad experience at Matheson I just say try and hang on for at least a year until something opens up with Linde, Airgas, Messer or Air Products.
