Know the wording that the testers want to hear on the pre-trip. During the actual driving part... Take your time and watch the tandems when turning.

I kissed a curb on my 1st attempt and failed the test.

Take you're time, and my instructor at the school i went to gave me some good tips. He said if you get messed up doing you're pre-trip remember that most things on a truck can leak or have cracks so say that you are looking for those on just about everything you look at under the hood and on the break system. So you should get some points for that, worked for me anyways. Also If you can study the truck before hand that you are taking the test in that helps too. I trained on the truck I was tested in. So everyday for 8 weeks i was able to do a pre-trip on it so I knew the truck pretty well for the test. hope that helps and good luck!

Thank you all for this info even if it is a little older. I am hoping to take my CDL B road test before the end of the month. Thanks again
