Trying to replace hood hinge pins and bushings.

    I don't know what it's called but my mechanic used it once on my truck for a stuck bolt like yours. It was like a coil. He had different sizes depending on the size of the bolt. He selects the right size and plugs it into the handle then holds it around the bolt. It doesn't touch anything but creates, I think, a magnetic field that turns the nut and bolt red hot real quick. Then he puts the air wrench on it and it came right off.

    I ended up using a Sawzall to cut the bolt. The #### hood then slid forward 6 inches. Had to use a ratchet strap tied to the hood support and ran down to the crossmember and forward to my suburban. Then took 2 load locks to keep it from sliding back. Got it back on without have to call anybody over to help. Afro engineering at its best.
