Unfortunately, the original owners sold the business about 10 years ago. Stayed pretty much the same. Sold again a couple of years ago to some corporate restaurant outfit. Just not the same anymore. Not bad......but not the same!

I didn't know the original owners sold it. I still lived in Tucson in 2010 too. But having Eeggees is better than not having Eegees.Sirscrapntruckalot and TB John Thank this.

R Place? Is that the one in Haines City Fl. next to the Pilot? I eat there several times a month and it's always good.
Actually a number of good restaurants within walking distance of the Pilot if you can find a parking spot. -

As a long time resident of Tucson I've seen the TTT at it's best and at its worst. It started a long downhill slide years ago. Haven't been there since they put a bar in. That's not an attraction for me.
D.Tibbitt and Dale thompson Thank this. -
Better food downtown. Bus stop right in front and with covid its free. The T is nothing to write home about. Even the mexican stand across the street is better.

Some people will complain about anything! Omar's is open 24/7. Decent food, decent prices. Not too many 24/7 restaurants at ANY truck stop anymore.
D.Tibbitt, RockinChair, TB John and 1 other person Thank this. -
I think they close at 10 PM nowD.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Nope, I was just there last week. 24/7 on the menu and the door. Although, I was there about 0530. I even asked.

Haven't been there in a while, used to go there when everything else was closed. May have to go again in the near future.
