Tunes and Mods. for pre-egr Cummins

Your best bang for your buck would be to have a cummins shop turn your ECM up as high as it will go without changing parts. You might be able to go as high as 550hp/1650tq without changing any parts. I think it's around 300 bucks to increase the hp. They can tell you how high you can go when they plug in the computer. If you want big hp you could probably turn it into a signature 600. This would probably cost around 10 grand and be a little complicated. Or have PDI flash your ECM and change your exhaust manifold and turbo. This would give you 750hp+.

unless your going the whole hog, set the thing at 500.

The way the tunes make their power, you dont notice a difference anywhere except the diesel pump when you fill it.

i should have never wasted the money turning mine from 500 to 565.. amounts to the same thing. should have put the 600 tune in it.

 

I tried the bully dog. It didn't work out so good for me. I sent it back.

sounds about right, mine only makes 32 at full noise.
