If I leave my 2004 International 9900 Cummins ISX 870 idling overnight, the turbo looks to be leaking oil on the exhaust side. What could this be a sign of?
* turbo has good boost pressure

Oil or maybe diesel, unburnt diesel will slobber out or oil , idle faster or better yet shut down.

Fuel slobber. Looks like oil when mixed with soot. Normal.
Idle it up to 1000rpm or better yet don't idle.dustinbrock, jamespmack, Diesel Dave and 2 others Thank this. -
Get it checked out .. fuel slobber is one thing but if it’s a weak oil seal leaking the engine can rev up till it blows even if you shut it off .. oil feeds the engine and it revs up to a very high rpm
jamespmack Thanks this.
