Turbo tax for filing your taxes in the trucking industry?

The deductuon is still available if youre itemizing. Less people will be itemiz8ng though.

I did my taxes with turbotax a few days ago. Not everything is in the same place this year so it was a bit confusing not knowing if it just moved or was eliminated in the new tax laws. Took it to a cpa for final review and he found a couple things id done wrong under the new laws. He lowered my tax liability about 1k bucks. This is why i spot check with a cpa every few years. Especially when there are big changes.

 

Is anyone else a local O/O? I was wondering about the per diem. Do 12 hour days count as half days for the per diem deduction? Or how does this apply to local O/O's on a 1099? Independent Contractor
