turning off engine after running all day?

    dd15 owners manual states allow engine to run between idle and 1000 rpm with no load for 5 minutes ..after doing so many turbos and starters on warranty i guess they changed from no cool down needed policy

    Then you've got something going on, it shouldn't take 20 minutes to cool down. What are you running for mufflers?

    When I pull into the yard I creep to where I need to go, and I reverse in idle. I finish my paperwork, logs, and pickup around the truck, by then its cooled off and good to go. I don't care how new or old the truck is, I always let it cool down.
