What size tv can I get in it? . 34" or 40"? Is 40 too big? Is mounting to the tv mount by drilling into the cabinet wall a fine thing to do?

I got a 55" I put up on the back wall with lag bolts and just siliconed the ends that stick out. So far no leaks.

I’ve always thought about mounting it to a thick sheet of wood you can get from Home Depot. Lean the sheet of wood on a side of the truck. Then use rope and bungie cords to keep it upright and stable. I remember having a folding bicycle stored in the top bunk, upright, and held with ropes and bungie cords. I never had an issue, even when braking hard.

Im in a freighliner classic xl., I know the mid roof sits a little lower but this may still work as well. I dont like the idea of mounting with regular screws as with vibration screws can back out. I have a 42" mounted to the storage compartment that folds and rotates behind the passenger seat when not in use. So its one of those mounts that folds out and rotates. . I mounted the mount to the front of the storage cabinet. So that when folded out I can watch from the bunk laying down. I will try to send you a picture if your intrested.

40 inch screen seems like it would be to big for the space.
