    I HAVE:
I am absolutely uncomfortable with the TVC way to resolve my driver issues.
Any ticket will cost to me more than just the fine:

    • It will raise my insurance rate,
    • It will put points in the my driver license, and also
    • It will affect my actual and future jobs.
At any situation until now, the attorney got from TVC to help me to resolve the incidents where I were involved, offered a bad representation.

    • The first time, a NY Police Officer said that he saw (as per the traffic ticket) a RED TRUCK passes a red light, ok fine.
But, MY TRUCK is DARK BLUE colored, NOT RED.
Your attorney accepts a “negotiation” and I was found guilty on that incident.
I do not know the name of the lawyer who supposedly represents me in court.

    • At the second case, I was charged to run 81/55 speed zone.
That is IMPOSSIBLE, because MY TRUCK HAS AN ENGINE SPEED LIMITER THAT DOES NOT LET IT RUN HIGHLY THAN 70 mph, precisely to avoid such kind of incidents.
Anyway, incomprehensibly I was found guilty to run at 81 mph (?).
I received the resolution from this last case directly from the lawyer. This communication shows 3 hard issues, to me.

    1. Mr. Bettis says:
“You owe a fine of $ 323.00 for the speeding charge. This fine is due by July 13, 2012. Please send your check or money order directly to the Court.
Failure to pay the fine could result in suspension of your license.”
Mr. Bettis has in his own files a copy of my Money Order sent to the Court on 06/06/2011 in the amount of $ 329.- as per his own instructions, it was a previous condition to my (his) first appear.
Did Mr. Bettis look and read my file before go to the Court? I doubt that Mr. Bettis had seen my documents, statements and paper works; either did not show them to the Judge.

    1. If Mr. Bettis were specialist attorney in driving traffic violations of CDL drivers, the first thing he should do, was to clarify the 3 first points of this letter, to The Court and to us. He didn´t and now I must pay another lawyer, to do this.
    2. But more irregular at all, is who sign the letter sent to me. NOBODY SIGN IT.
Those issues made me to look for Mr. Bettis attorney record.
At TVC web page, you promise to me, your customer:

    But, I found that:

    1. Mr. Wade P. Bettis IS NOT SPECIALIST IN TRAFFIC TRUCK DRIVER AREA.

    1. I found antecedents of serious violation at the Oregon State Bar.
On Dec. 29, 2006, the Oregon Supreme Court filed an opinion finding that LA Grande lawyer Wade P. Bettis, Jr. failed to provide competent representation to a client in violation of DR 6-101(A) of the Code of Professional Responsibility. The court suspended Bettis for 30 days. The suspension was effective Feb. 28, 2007.
Bettis represented two criminal defendants who were held in the local jail. He confused their identities and had one client sign a jury waiver in the other’s case. Bettis also proceeded to recommend and obtain the jury waiver without first determining whether it was in his client’s best interests to do so. He was ignorant of the factual and legal issues that might have been germane to either client’s cases at the time he presented the jury waiver. Bettis did not know the charges, had not reviewed the charging instruments, and had not obtained or reviewed discovery or conducted any investigation. The court concluded that such conduct fell below the competence standard required by DR 6-101(A).
Bettis was admitted to practice in Oregon in 1972. He had a prior record of formal discipline.

    1. Two ratings published in knowing ratting pages are:
      • The best punctuation is 3.8 in 5 and
      • The other only 1 in 10 with the recommendation of “Extreme Caution”.
    2. Most recently posted on November 4, 2011, I got this comments from a client of him.
“Did not go over my paperwork thoroughly before we went before the judge. Several errors were discovered by the judge, which delayed the discharge of my case.”
All the above creates sufficient evidence to me, to say:
In both cases I was involved did not get a good representation from TVC attorneys, when TVC responsibility is get a good representation, as TVC promise:
“The attorneys at TVC Pro-Driver, Inc. specialize in those areas of law most likely to affect individuals just like you. TVC Pro-Driver, Inc. has built a strong reputation for handling traffic violations of their clients ethically and competently through the court of original jurisdiction.”
TVC said can help me to find a different attorney to appeal the Court resolution and TVC will pay 25% of the attorney fee and I should pay for the rest.
At any time, I did not get a good representation from the TVC selected attorneys to attend any of my cases.
As consequence of the above I resolve:

    1. I WANT TO STOP ANY RELATION BETWEEN ME AND TVC PRO DRIVER, Inc.

    1. FROM THIS MOMENT STOP ANY DEBIT AMOUNT TO MY BANK ACCOUNT.

    1. FROM TODAY, 6/8/2012 YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO DEBIT MY BANK ACCOUNT.[TABLE="width: 100%"]

TVC is one messed up company! Don't think too many of their employees know what is going on, all they know is how to collect and process credit card info. :biggrin_2556:

Have been trying to cancel my membership for about four months now, every other month they refund one month and then the next month I see a charge for double or triple on my card - has been going on for three months now. This months charge $147.89 - wrote them an email again, since calling is pointless and the ladies are usually pretty rude. Guess I'm going to have to cancel my card after (hopefully) I get a refund and get a new card issued so these bozos don't have my card on file any more.

    WORST service/company I ever signed up for! :biggrin_25512: :biggrin_25516:

The people at the truck stops always harass me, or honestly that's how I feel. If I say no thanks, don't keep asking. They always say "hope you won't need it" or the famous "a guy declined our service and 20 minutes later got a ticket and we couldn't help him". I've heard that story from 3 different reps in 3 different states

My husband is a Truck Driver. We recently signed up with TVC about 4-5 months back. So far, the only services we've used is the TVC Discount Card. We have no health insurance and with this discount card, we save most of the time more then 50% off our prescription medications as well as more then 10% off dental visits. For us, what we pay $48/mo more then pays for what we save. We also go more then 50% off our Flu shots as well each. SO even if we never use the other services, we still save.

I signed with TVC on the beginning of January at a truckstop in Gary, In, they charge me two months at once as usual they do to all new members, a week later i did got a speeding ticket in California and i call them to defend me for this ticket, they told me that because it haven`t pass ten days of having the membership, i need to pay $295 on top of whatever i already have paid or it will not defend my ticket, i agree (what else could you do, right?) and paid the whole amount, the court in California send me a court date for three months latter and a form with few options to comply the court requirements, two weeks later i received three letters from three diferents lawyers offices in the ticket area offering me their legal representation service in court with fees going from $150 to $300.00.
What i have learned from this is that if you want legal representation after getting a ticket, you better search online in the internet and call several of the traffic attorneys in the ticket area and go with them, we don`t get a ticket every month (if you do you are in the wrong business) and paying around $250.00 to a lawyer, you will be better represented that with the $75 that TVC pay to the service lawyers they have on call, you will spare a lot of money a year, 12 months a $49.95 to TVC means $600.00 a year, get your own conclusions.

This service seamed to me very convenient. Small monthly payment and your problems in court solved. But they do nothing except charging money. I had a rear collision in Taylor, TX and I thought "how lucky I am, having this service!". I send them ticket, accident report and thought my problem should be taken care of. But I got court letter with $650 fine and note, that said "nobody appear at the court". I call TVC, they told me "We had not enough time to prepare the case and assure me they going to send a lawyer to second court session for sure. After couple weeks I receive another court letter noticing me that my driver licence will be suspendes and arrest warrant will be issued in 10 days, because nobody appeared in the court again. First thing I did - cancel this "service" and pay my fine to save my driver license and my ### from jail. This is nothing, but scam! They should be banned for fooling drivers and ripping their hard earned money. Stay away from these crooks, folks and tell your friends and coleagues to do so!

It's cheaper to get your own attorney. TVC communicated poorly. By the time they contact you, the court wants a late fee.

Run away as fast as you can.
