Hey I'm headed to the closest port to me In the morning and I just have one question for anybody who's gotten there twic recently. On the website it says you must show a hazmat document to prove you have a hazmat to forgo the background check. Well my question is are they talking about your drivers license or like a receipt of some kind? I'm hoping my license will work... There closed right now so please don't waste a post by telling me to call cause I'd like to know by morning so I can be prepared... It's my mistake for not making sure of this before now. If anyone knows I'd greatly appeciate an answer. Thanks
Twic card question.

I think you only need your license with a hazmat endorsement obtained within the last 6 months for the reduced cost. However, if you still have the letter you received when your hazmat was approved I would take it as well.
I took my letter also, so I'm not 100% sure exactly what was required. I just handed them all my stuff and they told me what to pay.trashtruckin22 Thanks this. -
The only thing a hazmat will get you is no need to do the fingerprinting again. You still have to get another background check.

Well I hope my license works because I think my letters accidentally got thrown way.... I appreciate your replys thanks.

you will need to pay the fee and get finger printed again

You do not need the letters as they will not do you any good. Remember to bring your prayer rug with you as the lines can be long.

Go to the TSA web site. They have what you need and the costs. If you're in the HAZMAT system, they can pull it up. You still have to go through the entire procedure, but you get a "discount".

Thanks everyone! All it took was my license and a 4 hour drive! And it'll take another 4 hour drive in 2 weeks just to pick it up lol... Sucks
