Fort Dix & Mcquire AFB already ask for it. Texarkaka Army Depot asks for it.... If you have a TWIC, you don't need to show em your "REAL" id

Don't get caught, it called fraud. Using Federal issued to pick loads that are not yours. Can you say room mate with Bubba.

Get your TWIC & Hazmat then your covered.

This time last year I just started out with the company I still work for. They sent me to the port in New Jersey. I get there and find out about all this TWIC stuff. Called dispatch and they were just floored I didn't have my TWIC card. So rather than pay $125 for an escort they reroute a company driver who was "close" by to come and drive my truck in and pick up the load for me. Of course they didn't mention it but I had a feeling it wasn't legal. Now I know better.

Funny thing is they "punished" me by never sending me to NJ again and in fact I haven't been east of the IN/OH line since. Strictly west coast runs now. :biggrin_255:

I've pulled flatbed freight into, & out of, ports. Not only does TWIC save your company $, it has proved to save me MUCH time. Then, like a previous poster said, it MAY make you easier to get hired somewhere else. Or it may not, but it will, at least, show that you have the tools available to whatever job you may be needed on.

Jersey ports not only require the Twic card... They also require the sealink card.
