    This is an actual Spicer/ Brown-Lipe. Aka “brownie”. The new twin counter shaft units are a bit different then the old ones. But the old “brownies” will survive if treated right. This one is a 1958 vintage.

    And, you will become familiar with the two shafts coming out of the top cover in the second photo and using a big screw driver or pry bar! I still remember my first lesson!

    Your’s musta been worn alittle more I had to use a pry bar lol
    I think is was a right of passage until you could get out pry it lose and get back in and start over in less than 3 mins you were still considered a rookie

    After I got a 3/4” wrench across my right hand knuckles the infamous birds always followed .. You know the routine boy get it taken care of

    @Oxbow... He is dead on about the sisters (I tried twins once). You might question his accuracy on trucks, but women?
